A match made in Nerd Heaven. Rob and Maria love being outdoors exploring nature, are passionate about conservation, and both are driven by their faith.

Maria is the science education outreach manager at a non-profit institution that focuses on the beauty and importance of nature and the intersection of human and environmental health. She has a Ph.D. in biology and intentionally sought out a career outside of academia so she could focus on sharing the wonders of nature and science with kids and families.

Rob is a program coordinator for a non-profit that manages environmental clean-ups, illegal dumping, and littering. He has a masters’ degree in environmental science and management, and he finds joy in learning something new everyday.
